Frosty winter’s sailing in the dark
With warm stout blanket covering down
Houses and trees and dirty ground.
The white snow is dizzying over cornfields
Like the tiny stars falling from the sky
The dense wood is nodding in the silence
Putting down the bushy pretty eyes.
2. One gold owl is sitting in the fir-tree
Being in the fairy sheen of the moon
Like enormous hanky elephants
Drifts are resting on the outskirt
All trees change their uniform and colour
Houses are switching the windows off
And the winter’s telling a new story
Falling asleep slowly itself
